Surely,we can win this one.Lost at home yesterday to Blackpool. Could be the lift off for our season. Also, I do enjoy beating them

Anything less than a win and it will be a disgrace. They had a freak result against Aston Villa that we could and probably should have bettered. Also Liverpool have Man Utd up next so hopefully we will be ahead of them this time next week.

Moyes will be keeping a close eye on long term target Alan Smith . His latest haircut is bound to impress ,it's the sort of cut american children used to wear in 1950. Seriously though ,we should give the barcodes a good tonking . Yak to start I hope.
We are special ,we are Everton.

We need a proper striker up front, be it Saha, Beckford or Yakubu.  Three points are the minimum.  I would like a performance to go along with it, hope that isn't too much to ask.

At home against a team who breezed the Championship but haven't looked too impressive back in the PL. Three points. We can't really accept anything else.

If Distan and Hibbert start against Newcastle I will lose the will to live.  Hibbert was solid defensively, but I don't think that is enough any more for a full back.  His attacking play is not good enough.  He finds himself in brilliant positions time after time and fails to deliver.  Distan is a liability in my view.  I would move Heitanga into centre back, drop felli deeper in midfield and move Arteta into more attacking role, where he finished on saturday.  It has to be Neville or Coleman at right back.  I would also give Yak a start un front.  He look in good shape and could be the answer to our striking problems.
