I just wish someone e.g. an agent would go through an historical transfer and explain every part of it in detail with a timeline so that us fans could really understand why it takes so much effort and time. It would be so interesting. They could go through a number of transfers and different issues. It would be a real eye opener.

I don't understand how they can drag their heels if the release clause has been met

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

Perhaps they want to negotiate on the sell on fee, compensate the small activation price we're paying?

If we actually sign this fella, he'll be a legend, missing sitters all over the place :)

Same way Liverpool did with Suarez & Arsenal.
Say no and tell the player to lawyer up and not play competitively for the months it will take to process through the courts

The chairman's on holiday, the typist''s out shopping, the fax machine has run out of paper, there's  a million ways to slow something down!! Ever whispered 'tell them I'm out' when someone answers the phone for you?
Frustrating but as long as we get there that's all it is.
The Himalayas has the Yeti, Norway has Trolls, America has Hillbillies. You, good people, are blessed with Shropshire.

Can't do that with a release clause though - that's the point
