It is a whole PR exercise not just "wooo we signed Sandro". These things take time away from the player being in camp, something I am sure the Spanish FA aren't keen on.

Real president said it was the first he had heard of it when questioned about Sandro interest, so it sounds like a red herring.

Seems a weird one, stranger things have happened than a journalist getting confused about which Madrid was interested or someone credible typing the wrong name. The quietness about other interest suggests that negotiations are finished, he's got enough coverage and mentions for other clubs to become interested if there was an opportunity, it's not been announced due to a technicality of sorts.

He did seem focused on the U21 tournament, so may have said he will do promo stuff after.

The Spanish replies to the original Real report treat it with the respect we would afford a transfer 'scoop' from Ray Parlour.

Has any other Spanish U21 lad moved this summer? Their FA may have a ban on this type of stuff during tournaments and we have to respect that.

Stressing about a player we dont know much about possibly going elsewhere, sort yourselves out for fuck sake! If he signs then great, if not the we move on to other targets, simple

It's because this lad is good, we are probably sellling Lukaku, and Kone has gone so actually we are quite desperate for strikers.
