Poll

What should we do? (RESET 29 SEPTEMBER, AFTER LIMASSOL GAME)

Fire him now before our season goes tits up
Give him till Christmas.. If performances and results aren't where they should be for what he's spent, he's out
Let's just see how things are at the end of the season
The season has barely begun, he's a great manager and we should get 100% behind him
Ohhh Davey Moyes, Davey Davey Davey Moyes...
Fuck off with your polls, you cunt

Time to go. All he can do is reactive management. Ffs sake we are adapting our system at home to a team from Cyprus. In fact he has no system. The players look like they have had enough. Any player who shows form seems to end up on the bench. Clueless.

Totally apathetic about us now. Went out to walk the dogs at 3-1, supporting this club is such a fuckin chore in recent years.

Totally agree, no on seems to give a shit at the club so why should I? I am amazed how apathetic I am towards it all, only watched the second half today but just had a little chortle to myself and that was about as much emotion as I could muster.

Where would a new manager start turning this around. Just about everything that is going on, on the pitch this season is wrong. Tough gig, probably not for the inexperienced.

There should be a boycott of match attendance and club merchandise. Coz while we keep going and paying r money, they will sit there and let us fizzle out into mediocrity or worse. Time to take a stand, fuck the planes and fans staying behind. He needs to go and should of gone already

I am sure the board know our general feeling, it's pretty obvious really. Our club have financially backed a manager for the first time in decades to admit they got it all wrong is a big step. He should definitely go but I don't think boycotting is going to make the slightest bit of difference.

Good piece from McNulty, as usual...

http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41716554

Everton managers' Premier League record (after 47 games)
Manager   Win %
Roberto Martinez 51.06%
David Moyes   44.68%
Ronald Koeman   40.43%
Howard Kendall   38.30%
Joe Royle           34.04%
Walter Smith   34.04%

A Moyes/Martinez fusing of philosophies has been our high point. Joint managers is the answer?

The journo's are rightly pointing a finger or two at the recruitment which obviously failed on it's prime job this summer. I just can't see Moshiri have a full clear out of what only 12 months ago was the vision of our future.

Has the headcoach/director of football ever been successful in the PL?

Why edit my post . The compared to this bit is relevant . We are worse now than after the Sunderland game when Martinez got sacked . He was no worse than Koeman . We have wasted all the money we have and this idiot has completely destroyed the confidence of virtually everyone at the club . He had form for it at Valencia when the expectation on HIM was at his highest in his career as a Manager . He has done the same again here .

That's true about being worse now. Martinez's football philosophy was wrong we still had a good team that was balanced and had some confidence. Koeman & Walsh have completely trashed the team in just about every facet imaginable. Like you say he does have form in this area.

Not a player though, to the media he never criticised anyone. Not Mirallas for grabbing the ball off Baines, not Stones for playing chicken in the 6 yard box, not Rom for generally not looking that bothered some days. I think he genuinely lost the dressing room in a way that Koeman hasn't, but we couldn't defend under Martinez, under Koeman we can't attack or defend or pass, apart from that we're solid.

He never hung any player out to dry like Koeman, with him it is every match. The players must talk about it, we all have a moan about the boss. The thing is with footballers especially in the PL is that they have the power to change it. Koeman just comes across as a arrogant prick.

I am sure the handling of Barkley or the public criticism must be playing a part in our demise. Changing tactics every 45 minutes does not help your position as a autocratic leader either.

That's why I have been sure for a while the dressing room is lost.

About a decade ago, but his time at Valencia seems relevant, we even have the Ever Banega situation with Rooney.  :titanic:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2008/apr/21/europeanfootball.sport

Thanks for posting that. The similarities are there, the public admonishing of players. The players not liking the tactics, the dressing room divide.

He just comes across as a knobhead boss.
