Southampton.

With whom Koeman had beef. Perhaps he doesn't work well in the structure we're now employing. Which should have been analysed before his appointment.

Koeman has signed a deal "up to and including the 2022 World Cup". I wonder what sort of clause is in there at the end of June 2019, when his Everton deal would have ran out. There's no way he'd then fall back onto such a low wage as those names mentioned. It seems naive from Everton, but I have no idea what is the norm in the world of premier league managerial contracts. Perhaps these clauses are common place?

Don't see the problem with it myself -  not bother working and Everton pay 100% of the outstanding contract, as it is the Dutch FA are paying a little bit and us the rest - what ever the amount is will be a saving on what we owe him ?

It's true that we're paying less than if he remained unemployed. Still, it's good to fume.

On a seperate note I like that turn of phrase I just coined. Maybe we could replace "the people's club" with it?
