Just to remind everyone that we did sign a manager that actually got a team relegated weeks before, then we finished 5th, so it's not all bad.

At both SíLand and Palace, Allardyce took quite a while to get them going.

In both instances he was saved by unlikely results. In thr first instance, they played us in Martinezís last game, probably the easiest fixture ever.

At Palace they won at Anfield and Chelsea plus also beat Arsenal at Home.

They then went pretty rubbish again.

He wouldnít last 6 games here if results humbled along in the short term.

Ta, not had chance to browse today. I assumed BD wouldn't be quoting the sun or mail or other such bastions of footballing truth.

Been mentioned on sky today.

Think it was in the Guardian last few days.

I remember when we were linked with signing Paul Ince (not the first time round when he was at Inter) and there was a massive negative reaction from the fans.

Always felt that we leaked that to test the waters.

Could well be the same here, I think.
