I'm reading Niasse is off to Palace.

The reports reckon we're going to get close to the 13.5m that we paid for him. On paper it seems like a good deal, but I reckon it leaves us really short up top; It's hard to argue that Rooney is a striker, Tosun is an unknown quantity on these shores, Sandro is a question mark that either is legitimately rubbish or Allardyce doesn't rate him and DCL looks shattered.

At least Niasse can sometimes toey it in from inside the area.

Thoughts?

Id take that. Like the guy but lets be honest, hes fucking dreadful. Leaves us light up top and relying on Tosun, hopefully wed get someone else in but we could manage without.

I like him, but I think it's important for the development of DCL that Niasse is not around. We need DCL to take a rest but keep playing to reach his potential.

Id prefer us to get a replacement in before letting him go, but if were honest Niasse and DCL are nowhere near the standard we need to be. Id be tempted to get another strong centre forward and a back up and allow Niasse to leave and maybe send DCL out on loan, or at least give him a good rest and let him develop

Hodgson has stated he wants 2 strikers in the window.

One seems to be Sakho from West Ham if he lowers his personal wage demands

Niasse will score goals in this league through sheer effort, he'd get into double figures for us if he stayed. He's a decent player to have in a squad but he'll get more first team chances at Palace so I can see the attraction in going there.

Thoughts? Pretty much spot on.

Cant see why a squad extremely short on goals would sell their 2nd highest goal scorer.
There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

Niasse and 30m I would bite your hand off
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

 :headbang:

I assume the cash refers to what Allardyce will pocket from the deal.....

I rate Van Anholt - he can play centre half as well as his natural left back position can't he?
So like a left sided Holgate. Which suits us down to the ground at the minute.

He's 27, so not yet hit his prime (defenders mature a bit later) and is a good premier league standard player who would look even better in a more solid team.

Niasse & 10m would look to be a good deal as far as i can see.
