Gareth Southgate is brilliant.

Tactically he may get found out, but on a man management level he seems to have it spot on.

Just listened to him speak about how everyone is addicted to their phones these days and how managers need to counter that when it comes to getting information across to players and getting them to bond with eachother.

Always speaks very well about things when it comes to managing players.

It's funny, ten years ago England had world class players, world class managers managing them, and everything was so elusive.

Now Gareth Southgate and a bunch of players that are well short of what went before in terms of quality seem more together and more of a team than ever before.

I see Martinez doesn't like selecting too many defenders

Final squad

Goalkeepers: Koen Casteels (Wolfsburg), Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea), Simon Mignolet (Liverpool).

Midfielders: Yannick Carrasco (Dalian Yifang), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Mousa Dembele (Tottenham Hotspur), Leander Dendoncker (Anderlecht), Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Monchengladbach), Adnan Januzaj (Real Sociedad), Dries Mertens (Napoli), Youri Tielemans (Monaco), Axel Witsel (Tianjin Quanjian).

Forwards: Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea), Nacer Chadli (West Brom), Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United).

Some names on this list, the majority would get into the England squad, except Wilshire, his name should be nowhere the list.

Does that match the 23 mattresses that were posted on Twitter last week?

Or forwards for that matter.

Must be playing a 1-9-1 formation.
