Niasse shouldn't have started if fat Sam was gonna bring him off at half time if we were in trouble.

Good changes those, the game was bypassing Niasse and Davies hadn't been great and on a booking.

Not wrong though is he?

I think he is. Its infinitely better than tha Southampton game and we are playing a much better team. We need a transfer window. Until then we are going to have to play like this against much better much more complete teams. Our passing has been poor though

We were never going to have a whole lot of the ball in this one but our defensive structure has let us down. Total miscalculation to play a 4-4-2. We needed an extra body in the middle.

And it's the same old crap with the midfield. Chasing Liverpool players when they don't need to, leaving space between the lines. No surprise that they're causing problems.

Bullshit. They hardly had a decent chance first half. Defence was fine.

How lucky can Liverpool get. They always get the second ball straight to their feet

Some bollocks being said on here. Sam can do nothing about getting some of the players wearing Blue to play well in this derby game. H ehas been a few days in the job and cannot perform miracles against a top side. Martina cannot cope at left back - not his fault. No choice but play him there. Davies can be seen as a very limited player. He should be taken off asap. Shift Rooney further up. Hope to restrict it to 1-0 or snatch something. Oh and take Gueye off. He has been booked anyway and is almost as poor as Davies.

I'm okay with those changes.

Keep it tight, wait for them to tire, and have one more roll of the dice in the form of Lookman or Vlasic.

Edit: We're not keeping it tight, though.

We need to stop just leathering the ball away, it's just going to come straight back.

20% possession is a whole new level of scaredy pants. Their midfield have 10 yards of space to move into every time they have the ball. When we have it they give us 20cm.

I can't remember too many of the previous games were we've restricted them to one shot on target in 45 minutes in what is as close as you'll get to a nailed on defeat.

That'll be because their players are actually alert and moving, plus a lot faster
