Lol love Wayne rubbing it in to Lovren post match.

"Lovren kicked the ball away and it gave me a chance to compose myself before the pen."

Tactically, it was the most negative I have ever seen Everton set up for a very long time.

BUT, we won a point from a moment of quality from Rooney, and a good bit of forward play from DCL.

Delighted with the result, happy with the defensive performance, but we were absolutely woeful in attack. Even with big Sam's tactics (which i thought were spot on), Niasse and DCL needed to hold the ball up much better than they did, and we needed to press a little more in the first half.

Being negative would have been ignoring their strengths and just sending a team out to go toe to toe with them. In fact it would have been worse than being negative; it would have been a dereliction of duty from the manager and coaching staff.

But at 2-0 no result for us. Defensively I agree much better and Sam does give you some confidence defending and I assume it's only going to get better. In the context of the match Mane's failure to tee up a team mate was biggest moment of the match.

WTF. Don't you feel good about anything? FFS.
Steinbeck's maxim: “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”.

Got to feel for Martina -not the best and ripped before he even kicked a ball .Then once he had ,ripped again , so in the Everton way ,given he has only one foot we play him left back !! almost makes me cry -but fair enough he ploughs  on and played a big part today

But he’s a professional footballer, left or right footed, just do the basics. He didn’t even do that for the most of it.

I'll take that. Proper confidence booster. Was expecting to get hammered before the kick off. But the way they were missing chances it kept us in the game.

Great result
