We need more people in attack. Martina, in particular, does not provide enough of an attacking threat for us to play five at the back.

Can he at least have a transfer window?? Youre absolutely itching for a poor result so you can slaughter him.

This is some pretty dire shit he is serving up here. Happy he has helped steady the ship, but this is way too negative for West Brom.

What if how we are playing isn't what he wants to see from the players?

Of course it is not. But he is still responsible for team selection and tactics, and in my view, he has messed those both up today.

Honestly.... In attacking positions we are shit. We dont have a striker or a playmaker and our only good offensive winger is playing his first 45 in over a year. We have shite players and big holes in attacking positions

Saying that weve been shit defensively to today. Its been crap but people are itching for a poor result so they can get at Allardyce.

I have no problem with Alardyce generally. I want us to win. But I disagree with the team selection. I disagree with the tactics. This is not fun to watch. And we are struggling against one of the worst teams in the league. It is utterly reasonable for me to be unhappy with this performance so far.

I also, besides our lacking a striker, don't think our attack options are that bad -- so we are starting our assessments from different places.

Tom Davies has not really progressed from last year. Disappointing.

At least Kenny's back-post defending remains excellent.

Very disappointed with that match. Was really looking forward to it too.

Why do managers not seem to like Vlasic? He has almost always looked decent when he has played. I don't get it. Is he not trying in training?

What do people really expect?

A badly unbalanced squad
With major injuries
A manager with no transfer window to make personnel changes
And barely a month to get his ideas across

And we get a clean sheet and away point

4 weeks so we went to an equally as bad Southampton team and got spanked 4-1 that could have been 10-1

The squad did not need to be unbalanced today. We could have started with Lennon and Bolasie on the wings, and Sig through the middle.

Southhampton are a better side than West Brom. Unlike West Brom, when we played them, they had not failed to win in their last 16.

We opted for more aggressive tactics and team selection against Liverpool and Chelsea.

We still had plenty of talent in the team to beat West Brom soundly today. In addition to multiple attacking options on the bench. Yes, we have struggled without a first choice striker, and yes, we have too many No. 10s, but we still have like he 14th most expensive squad in the entire world -- there is a talent there.

The manager opted to play with five at the back, which requires the fullbacks to get forward in attack. At the same time, he was starting a right back at left back, knowing full well Martina is not a good attacking option when playing LB.

How many times has it got to be said. The new manager is picking up the shattered pieces left by Koeman, not a good side with good players having a temporary blip, but a losing gutless shambles of a team. Put up with this lack of creativity until the new man can have the time to infuse new more effective players and bin some of the crap ones. Guardiola could not make good players out of many of our current lot.

I think we clearly have some good players. To suggest otherwise is foolish. We may not have a great team, however, given we lack good players in some key positions atm.
