It's looking more and more likely we have a new striker. Cenk Tosun from Besiktas. This is what one of their fans has to say on Twitter. Dembele of Celtic apparently is off to Brighton. :)

Seems like the sort of striker who signs for Newcastle and then stinks the place out.

I once met a Turkish fella called Cenk when I was on holiday with the missus in Hisaronu.

He seemed like a nice guy until he touched my thigh and asked me to sing him Hero by Enrique Inglesias at the karaoke bar.

And for that single reason only, I'm out.

He looks to have more about his game than Dembele. We already have a young talented boy who isn’t ready yet in DCL so we need someone with more experience who is more likely to hit the ground running.

For the money being mentioned if we can bring him in and offload Mirallas and a few others it’d be a decent window.

Nah too old.

I think we should sign him. His name is an anagram of "Once Stunk" so he can't be all that bad.

I've got a few friends who are Besiktas fans and they all rate him very highly. He sat behind the likes of Aboubacar for a few years without kicking up a fuss.

One of them mentioned that although he's not a naturally special talent his discipline and work rate are phenomenal. He's improved through extra training sessions and is an open admirer of C.Ronaldo's approach to the game, I could see our fans taking to him.
