Simple question, just wondered who people thought was best signing, since Walsh arrived.

Have not included U23s, as none have featured in first team.

Sambou, Renshaw, Markelo, Mathis, Gibson, Bowler, Adeniran, Donkor

Gueye should be the only 1 getting votes. Pickford has been okay too but we definitely paid top money for him at the time.
The rest.....
Varying degrees of still unproven and shite

Calvert-Lewin is superb value for the money. He'll be a good PL forward if we ever sign any midfielders/wingers who can pass. Oh, and play him again.

It depends heavily on how he recovers from his injury but I think Onyekuru will prove to be a shrewd piece of business as well.

The big money signings are pretty lazy. I'd assume that one of three things is true:

(1) We don't know enough players across Europe (this is where numbers/analytics are useful -- they can watch a lot of the games scouts can't)
(2) Walsh keeps getting knocked back on lesser known players (possible)
(3) These are the types of players Walsh likes to sign with money at his disposal (also possible, majorly depressing if true)

Whatever the case, it's disappointing. Most of those players are at least decent but none are great and they certainly don't fit into the same team.

Looking at that it took me a minute to figure out who Ramierez was. Which pretty much sums up how often i've seen him

Reckon thereís about at least 9 on that season list that were by managerial request, and coincidentally they all happen to be the biggest letís downs or we paid significantly over the odds for the their relative talent.
There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

Walsh has to give every transfer the go ahead. He is the net between the choppy change managers and purchasing players. It's all on him
