I can see Stoke winning a couple of those home games (us and Palace). You've also missed off one of Southampton's home games.

More importantly however is that history has shown us that you get unexpected results when the shit get's real at the end of the season.

Saints only have three home matches left mate.

Stoke are struggling for wins so o think they’ll fail to beat even us!

They've played 29 games, which means they have 9 games left to play.

Yeah that's a bit odd that their fixtures have panned out like this.

I'll be happy if the only point we see is Allardyce being pointed towards the door.
Who thought we would ever miss Phil Neville and his pointing skills!

Burnley hasn't won this calendar year. Burnley haven't came back to win a PL game in 8 years. Burnley have struggled for wins.

Brighton H - 1
Stoke A - 1
Man City H - 0
Liverpool A - 0
Swansea A - 0
Newcastle H - 3
Huddersfield A - 0
Southampton H - 3
West Ham A - 0

Hope I'm wrong and we don't have 36 points going into the last four matches.

Liverpool game is at Goodison,

We'll be OK, but OK is not good enough.

I’ve got a feeling that the home match against Southampton will decide our fate

Having another go

Brighton (h) - fucking must win, fuck the performance, scrappy win = 3 points
Stoke (a) - They're hungrier than us and will bombard us with long balls, easy defeat = 0 points
City (h) - Easy win for City = 0 points
Shite (h) - oh fuck off = 0 points
Swans (a) - Home win = 0 points
Newcastle (h) - A proper 6 pointer, must not lose, Home win = 3 points
Hudds (a) - Draw = 1 point
Southampton (h) - Bore draw = 1 point
West Ham (a) - Home win, thank fuck the season is over = 0 points

8 points = 42

I just can’t believe it’s really come to this. You’d have said at the start of the season that this thread would be about all the permutations of us possibly getting 4th or at least cracking the top six.
This is a really depressing sobering thread.
Roll on 18/19. 🤦‍♂️

Can’t disagree with that assessment. Next game is massive. 3 pts and we’re st 37 which historically probably means we’re ok (I believe 36.6 is actually the average number to be safe rather than 40). We can also maybe play more calmly in some of the away games which will allow us to pick up a couple more points. Anything other than a win for us and it’s going to be a really, really nervy run in.

Can see Stoke and Southampton getting 11 points

Will we get anything from Brighton? They're above us now so maybe Sam will just to hold
them a point.....
