Agreed. It's more more like a 4-4-2 than a 4-3-3. Sigurdsson defends from a forward position and stays forward when we have the ball.
Our "proper” midfielders — Schneiderlin, Gana, Davies — are varying degrees of useless at passing forward against a set defense so our attack (as it is at the moment) works alright when we have space to counter but less so when our opponent packs its own half like Huddersfield did today.
There's plenty of time to improve but we definitely have a lot of work ahead of us. Hopefully, Bernard and Gomes can help with some of those issues.
