Given our current success rate of spending £30m on young CBs with limited top flight experience then I'd swerve, personally.

I'm more trusting of fellas when they have my cock in their mouth

And considering how we have done with older defenders (Williams) we shouldn't sign them either. So let's not sign any defenders at all. They'd be shite anyways.

Lascelles has had a great time at Newcastle. He's been linked earlier in the summer via other sources, and he's a signing I'd be very keen on. We have history with him of course: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/25843264

Needs to sort the defence out first, quality centre half to play alongside Keane (who will be better this season)

Lascelles another player (like Keane) that’s benefited from playing in a mostly defensive team, with lots of protection in front of him?

Reckon that third guy would work miracles

He's no good with crosses though.. That's the down side.

He is a very good defender and a leader at the back . The sort of player our defence needs and a load of experience for the money.

I've got a great idea, why don't we sign a centre half from a side that doesn't spend a lot of defending, so we know he's not just a defensive defender. Let's get one from the top 6, or one of the top sides in europe. Job done.

I think he'd be a very good signing. He's been superb when ever I've watched Newcastle this season and is one of the players that always comes to mind when thinking of realistic defensive additions. I really liked him at Forest in his early days as well.

Oh good he’s “Premier league proven” and “a leader”.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

I personally think we need two new CB's.

Id be happy with him coming in with another along with Funes Mori and Williams heading out.

I have a hard time believing we'll get him for £30m when he's a key player and just signed a new six year contract last season.

This feels like another negotiation we don't want to get involved in. Hopefully Brands has more sense than Walsh on matters like this.
