Heís probably my fave player that Iíve watched over a considerable amount of time. I was around for Kanchelskis etc but he didnít stick around for long.

Such a good footballer over a decent period, will be hard to replace.

Even more pronounced with wingbacks, donít even really need any positional awareness because your midfield and cb cover you, you literally just need to put up like Herculean kilometres at pace and bang balls into the box.

Kyle Walker agrees

Im sure Jonas Hector would be half that price, and with Cologne getting relagated from the bundesliga surely could be tempted.See how he goes in the WC.

£40m's cheap for Rose. Boss player.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

So boss he doesn't even get in over Ben Davies in the spurs team who I'd be reluctant to pay 15-20 million for.  40 million is at least 20 million too much,  he might have been worth that at his peak,  but he's miles off that now

Would be 28 at the start of the new season. Buying a player for their last big payday is not what we should be doing IMO.

Would rather us spunk That sort of dosh on an attacking left wing or a boss box to box midfielder.
I'm all for getting a quality left back but working on the theory we have a 3-5 year plan, id have Baines for another 12 months with a decent backup bought in. I think we have other more important areas. Definately 2 cb's, , a box2box midfielder, and an attacking left sided midfielder.

Sessegnon will go to United or Spurs for serious cash. Fulham's promotion means they won't need to sell at the sort of price we'd pay. More realistically from the Football League we could get in Bryan from Bristol City.

But that's why Brands is here, to show us there's more to transfers than watching telly and Champ Man filters.

Well, he wants to move back North so what choices does he have if United aren't interested any more?
