I guess it could be Dowell.... but i fear the fans will turn on him the same as they did for Barkley... they expect miracles from kids..

If Siggy plays as a ten, I hope its besides Gana and Besic/Baninime, with Siggy in the centre of a midfield 3... He's pretty naff as a ten behind the striker..

Davies as a ten is just terrible, He's more like a Lee Carsley,, but with out the passing ability... id say a #8.
Don't think people expect miracles, they expect them too perform to a certain standard though. He'll get a fair crack of the whip if selected, like Barkley was on more than enough occasions.  Giving the ball away and showing little effort to get it back probably won't be tolerated and rightly so

What a great time to purchase a post peak immobile Gylfi Sigurdsson.

God I hope he has a good season and shuts me up.

Could argue that as heís not a traditional 10 that we could get away with it, by playing more as youíre breaking forward CM.

You canít not be involved with the game there though.

From what I've seen in pre-season, both Dowell and Sigurdsson have pretty much played as a second striker when we have the ball forming a two with Tosun

Edit: that could just be because our build up play has been so slow

Fair point though. Even though he didnít set the fee he must deliver.

Only way I see Sigurdsson working here is pushed up almost as a second striker, without the main creative responsibility.

He's got the energy to press from the front, he's decent at linking play up and he's a decent striker of the ball. Not sure he's even close to being a playmaker/decent central midfielder personally.

Yeah, he always has been and will probably always be more of a second striker than a No. 10. Not creative enough or involved in play enough to be considered a No. 10. I almost would prefer to play him as a No. 8 than put more creative responsibility on him.

Good to see weíre looking for players in the right positions anyway.

Honestly though, if we canít find the right player just go with what weíve got.
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

Cheryshev linked

Source: the scum & the other crappy paper with loads of clickbaits and unnecessary pop-ups.

Gotta say it smacks of lazy journalism though

Was rumours he was going on loan to Newcastle wasnt there, id be happy for him to come here on loan. Dont think hes a long term solution, but would add depth

Loved that rasper he scored against Croatia I think it was, was highly regarded a few seasons back at Madrid but don't know how good he is now

Isn't he a winger though? We already have 65 of those

Got to be honest I think he’s fucking shit

Edit : drinkwater that is, not Rondon. Rondon is class.

Edit 2: fuck me how far behind was I? Cheryshev should be avoided at all costs. Steve Walsh signing.

I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.
