Not bothered about money spinning tournaments against the top top clubs. Only to get battered in each game. I would rather have pre season to get the squad playing as a team knowing the tactics and each other. Play against teams around our own level and end with a one off friendly against a top team. Start the season fresh, not off the back of a tournament thousands of miles away coming back low on confidence and 'tired' after all the travelling.

Still no word of games, only the one home game announced. Strange.

We've got so many players we can get 2 squads of 18 together easily without having to travel to play anyone else!

That used to happen. I remember the Blues v Ambers games years ago.

Bit concerning for me.

A terribly planned pre-season (think we played about four proper games) was what started Martinez’s fall.i

Friendlies with Bury and Blackburn announced for the 18th and 26th July respectively, naturally it's gone down like a wet fart with the knob head section of the fan base

Almost can't get more unsexy of a lineup

Would've been nice to go on tour somewhere like, play a few decent teams, we seem to struggle to organise good pre season games.

Suppose it's extra difficult this summer though with the World Cup

We're going on a North West England tour.
