The Champions League group stage will commence on 18-19 September, and last season's beaten finalists Liverpool face an away Premier League fixture before all of their six group games. That includes trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Is it normal to be away on first AND last game of season?

I always thought that if you played your first game away, you would play the last at home and vice versa. However, what do I know as @Macca77 posted, how can these be randomly generated when the games against City are on the same weekend as Liverpool play Utd?

The Blue 3/4 of Liverpool

Newcastle look like they are the ones to get the shitty start this season:

Tottenham Hotspur (H)
Cardiff City (A)
Chelsea (H)
Manchester City (A)
Arsenal (H)

Crystal Palace (A)
Leicester City (H)
Manchester United (A)

And West Ham's isnt too good either:
Liverpool (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Arsenal (A)
Wolves (H)
Everton (A)
Chelsea (H)

Manchester United (H)
Brighton (A)
Tottenham (H)
Leicester (A)

Two of the pack that will be chasing us to break into the top 7 and above, may struggle early doors - which normally shapes a teams season!

If we’re challenging for Europe those home games between March & April will be great.

A couple of wins and Goodison will be bouncing

I assume it is because Spurs have had to frontload away games at the start of the season.

Not bad that, couldn't have asked for better. Vital we don't get turned over first day though, although their ground will be bouncing first game back.

Don't know what all the fuss about them is to be honest. Just because they played decent footy in the Championship doesn't mean they're PL standard. They have a couple of really good players but their overall team and squad is nowhere near Premier League standards. If we've got any ambitions of top six, we need to go there and win.
