He looks like he's going to be a bit of a WUM based on today.

Looking forward to seeing more of him though.

Didnít have to do anything.

Having said that he wiped out one of their players just as the ball had crossed the dead ball line so a goal kick was given.

That player didnít make it back on

Thought that was total madness myself
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Exactly what I expected.

To be fair he was just trying to play to the gallery, donít think (or hope!) that heíll be like that in general

Didn't see any of the game but those two points are what you'd expect from Mina in any game. Dominate the air and quick across the ground.

Really looking forward to seeing him play in a competitive game and having some competition at centre half.

Why tho

Because he's Big Yerry Mina, and when he speaks, people listen.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

As good as he might be, it will take one of the other chaps in the centre to go a bit out of form, as their partnership has developed very nicely.

If he comea in this weekend and plays a blinder, then it's up to Zouma and Keane to up their game even more to make sure they play. That's the kind of competition for places that we have been severely lacking in recent years.

Or sit out a game through ineligibility, like at weekend. If Keane and Mina play well then they stay in the team for the following game.

For the first time I can remember we have got players of equal or not far off quality on the bench.

As long as I've known you could predict the starting 11 for the first game of the season and this would rarely change

One thing about Mina. It's a big ask coming into this game, as your first competitive start in a foreign league/country, next to a centre half you're only just getting to know.

If he makes a bad mistake, or doesn't have a great game, as a fanbase, we need to be careful not to slaughter him or write him off as a player.

If anything, I'm almost expecting a mistake/bad game and anything better than that will be a bonus.
