Yes that was my take on it.

I can see why we did it. At only £5m fee plus a six figure wage he only had to be half decent for it to stack up. The fact he's flopped so badly makes it seem a worse deal than it was.

I’d seen some reports in Spain (diario Vasco) saying that we only signed off the Sandro deal as Lookman was staying.

Logical so not necessarily as a result of actual knowledge but you’d assume so.

What would you do if you got offered sandro stay or Sandro go? He was OKAY tonight but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him be better than OKAY?

He played well tonight, you have to factor in the opposition but he had a decent game. Put over some excellent crosses and linked up well with Kenny on a few occassions. I'm not a fan but credit where it is due for his performance tonight.

Doesn’t seem like he will be leaving this window. Perhaps his wages are too high for most European clubs. Al we can hope for is he can kick on from this and either earn a place in the squad or boost his value when we sell him in January
