Fulham leading against Burnley. Some squads just aren't capable of playing PL and EL, much like ours was not last time out.

For us I'd hope that another window or two with Brands given the problems he's tried to address and I think we'd actually look capable of playing in multiple competitions.

EDIT: :) Burnley making me eat my words 1-1 now.

DOUBLE EDIT: 3-1 Fulham :) I was right all along.

TRIPLE EDIT: 3-2 Never mind.

QUADRUPLE EDIT: finished 4-2. Joe Hart continuing his West Ham form

Chelsea vs Newcastle, is another game of attack vs 10 at the back.

Missed the story about Lascelles being dropped because he refused to train last week as part of a back 3.

Kinda weird story but perhaps he was denied a move and is throwing a strop?

This is a carbon copy of our 0-0 under Allardyce at home to Chelsea.

Can't say anything bad about good old Rafa though.

The standard of officiating in this league is just utterly appalling.

Right infront of the linesman and he doesn’t give that?

Gets to the point now where the poor officiating is what’s deciding games.

People say VAR ruins football, right now it feels like it’s coming in just in time to save it.

Going to be long season for Burnley, this will test their loyalty to Dyche. One point from Watford, Southampton and Fulham isn't good.

Probably get back on track once they’re out of Europe

We still had normal results when we were in the EL.

We lost a lot because we were playing the better teams mainly.

Most of the teams that struggle with Europe and the PL are teams that were rubbish the year before they qualified and they naturally return to a lesser level.

What an awful, awful game. Two horrid calls cancel each other out, fortunately. And VAR could have resolved both of them.

The result was probably fair, mind, as Newcastle didn't really try to keep the ball. If Yedlin doesn't try to cut that ball out, Barkley taps it in. For me it's justice done as his uncalled elbow right before the assist to equalize balances out the own goal.
