Walsh would've paid Barca's initial asking price of £30m, as if Barca were doing us a favour even meeting with us.

Brands is different gravy, what a fucking boss!

The signing I wanted more than any other.

Boss player. Will go down as a legend here. Best midfielder since Arteta.

He'd have to go some way to be better than Fellaini I think.

I hope he matches valencia 15/16, 3 goals and 3 assists, with just over one chance created per 90 minutes. If we get that I would be ecstatic.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

He fucking loves us doesn't he.

I think this is what comes through the most. Donít think Iíve seen a player so genuinely happy to be signing for us in a long time.

I think the home games towards the back end of last season really helped make his mind up, and I hope its the same for Zouma. The atmosphere generated at Goodison really is unparalleled when we are on song, and I think once you feel that as a player, it gets into your bones, and almost becomes addictive. It was evident from the moment he came here that he felt at home, and its not just his work on the pitch that has been noticeable, but also off it.

You contrast that to the pressure of the Nou Camp at Barcelona, and it is easy to see why Gomes had an easy decision to make. We need to build a squad and dressing room of these kind of characters, who are young, hungry and want to drive the club forward in the right way.

A bit odd that we squeezed this out at 9pm so got little exposure.

Not as bad as half time of the derby of course.

More people browsing social at 9pm than there are at 3pm.

I believe Barca announced it about an hour before we did.

A great signing for us, I'm really hoping Gueye stays with us now, a very nice partnership in midfield.

If we can get Zouma as well as a right back in, keep Gana and sign a quality striker and another versatile attacking midfielder that would be a great window with the back bone of the team still here which finished last season so strong. Oh and clear out about 8 or 10 players who have no future here.

People need to have more faith in us as a club when it comes to attracting players.

Weíre a proper club, with proper fans, with a proper stadium.

Just look at how well Gomes has taken to us. You reckon heíd be that way if he went to West Ham on loan?
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown

I dream he is this generation's Peter Reid. Yep, that'll keep me going until August.
Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy, which sustained him through temporary periods of joy.
