Its all about the midfield. The contribute almost nothing in terms of goals, assists or defensive work. I feel sorry for the back 4 and the front 2. Theres just this big useless void between them

Useless player. Might be okay if we can get a great playmaker and a great defensive midfielder and his only responsible for looking elegant and handsome

Whens his contract up 🤨

Still not a fan really. He was decent in spells against spurs but ultimately hes a bit of a nothing player in terms of any real output. He just doesnt create tackle or score. Needs to step in up an awful lot if he wants to be part of next seasons champions league winning team

Convinced Gomes is going to have a great season. Will be a completely different player with the quality now around him.

Think hell look a lot better but worry that when we boil it down to the numbers he wont really be doing that well at anything. He looks incredibly elegant even while doing very little. In fairness to him though he did quite well against spurs

He just sort of plods about doing okay but nothing really of note. Think Id rather have any of Delph iwobi Bernard and sigurdsson play instead of him. Hes just a bit drab Elegant and drab

I see now Sig is a bench regular attentions have been turned to Gomes. I look forward to seeing numerous posts a day by the same posters on this subject

Was gonna go for Pickford instead but he gets enough hate doesnt he

Hes space jam Xavi. Hes a bit average and plays a dangerous game you have to be incredibly good to get away with. He plays as if hes always got time and space and unlike Xavi he loses it in really bad areas again and again

Id like to see Delph given a go instead. Least hes a more rounded player and will contribute more defensively

Delph or Davies over Gomes.......perleeease.....

Not sure what Gomes does well. Think wed all have to agree hes limited. No one would argue hes good defensively or a threat in terms of creating or scoring goals. So whats he great at? Surely if hes limited he must be great at something

Totally agree that Delph or Davies would be a better bet.

Problem (use the word loosely) for Gomes this season is that hes gone from being highlight of our team to being part of a good team.....because of this a lot of his good work goes unnoticed......thankfully...f or me anyway....the pressure is now off him and he can get back to game fitness to show what he can really do.....with the spotlight on the others....

Long may it continue......

Christ when was he the highlight. God I must have been an even more miserable cunt that day
