Richarlison has the potential for an awful lot of egg rubbing in an awful lot of faces.

Think he’s going to be a special player. Perfect modern prem era player and I’m very happy about signing him. No qualms over the doh at all.

Digne - good solid signing. Safety first approach and might have a bit of an upside once he plays significant minutes.

Bernard is a bit of a wow signing for me. Surprised there’s not been much fuss in the media or footy pods...might take 2/3 months before he starts performing. Could be a real winner, could easily slip down the pan.

Mina - pleased with this one 8/10 signing I think. Big massive young CB who could be worth a tidy profit in 12 months. Potential CL level CB if he settles.

Gomes - adds slightly more vertical dribbling to the midfield, which is progression up the pitch one way or another so OK. Would have preferred a better passer of the ball - but wondering if Bernard will take some of that responsibility?

Zouma - Day one Prem-ready upgrade on anything we’ve got, CL level at his best and his injury is behind him...hope there’s an option to buy.

Overall - great window you have to say. Very pleased. Some minor causes for concern and I think quality wise, had we got Ghezzal instead of Richarlison, Seri instead of Gomes, Schurrle instead of Bernard etc. Would we feel much different? Might not be streaking ahead in the way some think.

I'd take all 3 of our signings over those.

You’re probably right but there’s not THAT much in the quality between what we’ve signed and what West Ham / Fulham / Wolves / Leicester have signed I don’t think. Richarlison stands out as one of real potential, Bernard I think as well but genuinely I don’t know how much Ukrainian Liga A or whatever did you watch? I reckon I’ve seen him about twice in my life.

Mina / Zouma / Digne / Gomes the clubs wanted rid.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Yeah, but the clubs that wanted rid are Barcelona and Chelsea.

And Chelsea only wanted to loan Zouma, as did Barca with Gomes, plus they’ve inserted a buy-back clause with Mina, and the fans on Twitter were all sad to see Digne leave.
Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them

You know whats crazy. For every window I remember (team selection included) its always so obvious what we need to strengthen in. Like there is always a general consensus, we need x y and z. But we never do it. Its like a fan has picked what areas to strengthen and what players to buy, it's been more or less perfect

Gomes (were it not a loan) because I think he’ll add a huge amount to us in the middle of the park where we’ve been sorely lacking.

Genuinely think the gulf in class between him and what we’ve had for years in the middle will become apparent very quickly.

Went for Richarlison. Think he'll be a quality player for us and has got the potential to take us to the next level. Mad how people are still going on that we've overpaid for him. I think he'll be worth every penny and then some.

Buzzing with our window to be fair. Players with potential, at the right age.

Richarlison, but Digne is a very close second for me. Good pedigree, seems like a top lad and a position we've been crying out for.

If I was to write a list of five players I wanted us to get, realistically, Zouma and Gomes would’ve been on there. So I’m made up we’ve got them in *touches wood*

Hopefully we’ll make the Zouma transfer permanent next summer. Gomes is a bit of an enigma but has quality in abundance.

Never did I think we could attract a player like Bernard, could be a game changer, could also flatter to deceive.

Digne is pretty much the best available left back out there we could attract and will slot in seamlessly

Richarlison will be a special player. Think he could reach a level we haven’t seen since the Lukaku days.

Mina impressed at the World Cup. Do worry about some things I’ve read, but the fact we’ve pursued him so aggressively puts me at ease.

Overall we’ve addressed all areas that needed to be addressed, added quality, youth, lowered the wage bill and trimmed the squad of most of its deadwood.

Brilliant work by everyone involved.

For me it's Gomes, quality ball player in the midfield with a steady head who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and make things happen without fear, he's been there and done it so I recon he's going to be a real game changer for us

Ooooh....

I’d say it’s either Mina or Bernard for me. Seems we’ve beaten off a few major competitors to land both of these fellas and they’re coming in with big reputations into positions we’re in need of quality.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

Honestly just a great summer.

Addressed a lot of needs so quickly. They wont all work out as that never happens but we can at least see that Brands/Silva have identified the right areas for improvement and work tirelessly to bring in players of the right quality and right age which is tough to do.

Still work to be done and it will take time for everyone to settle. However, I think ultimately we've done great business and any one of the signings could be picked as a favourite which speaks to how well the club has done.

Happy with them all for different reasons, hope they all smash it for us, though I'm excited most by the boys from Brazil who should link up well each other and the likes of Walcott, Tosun, Gylfi, and bring us a bit of magic up top.

Oh, ok, Richarlison. ;)
