No Mina tomorrow, minor foot problem.

Gomes will be back training in next 7-10 days.

Bernard and Zouma may feature.

Richarlison is fine.

Lookman is also available for selection.
Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them

Lookman May be available for selection but I doubt very much that he will be.

Same team as last time, bringing in Holgate for Jagielka. Bench of Stekelenburg, Digne, Zouma, Davies, Lookman, Bernard, Calvert-Lewin.

Hope we beat these comfortably with no issues. Easy 2 or 3-0.

So excited for tomorrow, like a kid on Christmas Eve. First home game is always exciting. A vista unmuddied, the page is blank - undefeated; fortress Goodison; dreams of sexy football; anything is possible!

Seems to be an extra vibe around this year. I'm preaching patience, this is the important steadying season before we burst the dams but what if...?

Tingling. It's great to be blue.

Oh, and fuck you Mark Hughes, this definitely not the best time to meet us.

I'm liking this new feature. Always enjoy a butcher's at another club's forum to see what the general attitudes are.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Looking forward to this, last time I was at the opening home game of the season we drew 2-2 with Watford 3 years ago.  >:(

Nice to read that teams are wary of facing us. The turnaround at the club in the space of 3 months is incredible, we've only played one competitive game but already we're perceived differently.

Can just imagine the Saints fans reading our match day thread and seeing nothing but 'Mark Hughes is a cunt' for the first 4 pages! Still, at least they can be safe in the knowledge we won't go after their manager again.

It’s amazing how much a 2-2 away to Wolves has changed attitudes on here. We’re unlikely to start any of the new signings so it will be a starting 11 that people were saying was in danger of relegation a few weeks ago!

We should win today, but it think predictions of 3/4/5-0 are wide of the mark given our pre-season performances

I suspect a lot of that is historical more than Silva-era, given that they've not done very well at Goodison over the years, and had a few serious beatings.

Yep, true. I do also feel the tide is turning a little, though - we were getting panned left, right and centre for getting rid of Allardyce. Even if we go with a familiar starting 11 today, I think our transfer activity and the way we went about it has made a statement about the direction we want to head in.
