We can talk about Tom Davies, but then many mention he's only 20. Atm he's causing the pace of the game to drop, so whether he's 20 or not, he needs to improve quite a lot to be a starter in the premier league. He's a good prospect, but his dwelling on the ball gave us a lot of problems today.

Think he gave the ball away too easily and didn't do anything in terms of link up play. He needs game time to improve but don't think it should be with us once players are healthy.

We would've lost that game last year easily ..

Baby steps moving forward ..I'm not that added about today's result tbh. ..we're still unbeaten and still learning the managers ways ... it will improve .

That's fair. Just frustrating to have that happen against one of the worst teams in the league

Disappointing but not particularly surprising. Without Richarlison we look toothless, without him and Walcott we look exactly as we did a year ago.

Sigurdsson rolling back the clock to his anonymous beginnings an all. A number ten that we can’t get the ball to is like a Ferrari with no steering wheel.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

We needed options today, and just didn't really have any available.  Disappointing (especially in real time), but I can put it in context and accept it.

Davies was really poor today, as was Coleman.
Zouma looks great though.

Yeah Tom Davies isn't really kicking on, is he? (which isn't to say that he won't, but I would've hoped for a bit more by now)

Like Barkley got loads of stick, but at least he would have a dazzling game or some dazzling moments in games to get behind. With Tom I just feel like he's drifting through games a bit, without really influencing them in any department.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Did he really just over perform that first season ? And are we now just seeing his proper level. Really hope not but I have my doubts.

What has happened to Coleman ? His form has just dropped off a cliff. Has to be seriously worried about his place in the team, no matter how much we love him. John Joe Kenny played very well on Wednesday.

Nah, his place is safe, he's still way above Kenny.

I like Sigurdsson, particularly his workrate, but we need more creativity from a #10 in home games against teams that play tight.

Bernard might provide it once he’s fully fit if Silva tries him there.

To be fair we won it 2-0 under Big Sam last year.

And our line-up was:

                      Pickford
Kenny - Holgate - Williams - Martina
        Davies -  Gana - Rooney
           Lennon - DCL - Gylfi

Regardless of your positive or negative frame of mind it’s 6 points from 12 from the easiest opening sequence of games we could have asked for.
