Pienaar on steds. That weave for the assist was a beautiful thing.

Looks a lovely footballer. In him and richarlison we've finally got a couple that will scare any defence with their dribbling

He's comfortably a better player than Pienaar.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Let's make that judgement after he's played a few more games

Seen him play for Shaktar a couple of times, in fairness.

Fair enough Pienaar was class for us, and has a special place in our hearts, but let's be fair he couldn't get a game for Spurs when he left. Bernard comes from better stock. CL player and Brazil international. Already can see he has much better end product than Pienaar had.

Pienaar was great in putting in a defensive shift. He was a well balance midfielder. Shit at shooting mind.

This is ace.

The lad is a natural footballer.

Every moment is pure class.

As said, if Pienaar was that good then he'd have done it at Spurs.

He was in the right place at the right time during his time here paired with Baines and the tactics of the time.

Good player but nowhere near as good as some Evertonians make out.

I seem to remember Jo mentioning, 'he'd wished he had done more with his opportunity at Everton'. He must have had a word with Bernard, about the club. We're getting a network of high quality players talking to each other privately, with regard to what we have to offer them. We've already taken the next step up, in no uncertain terms. Especially, with the need for an influx of high quality South American and Continental players. It all feels different this time around. I think we might be in for some long lamented glory, sooner than we think. :)

I want to like this, Peej, but can’t out of fear of jinxing it 😁

I'm just happy dreaming of full blown Champions league football on a regular basis. If Silva's anywhere near as good as all the quality players keep saying he is, who have hands on footballing contact with him; he can't fail to do something positive with the quality of the players we're bringing in. We just have to start competing with the best and it could be on. :)
