No way would Davies be first choice over Walcott, Davies will get his chances and continue to develop but at this point in time he is second to Walcott.

Walcott’s outta there as soon as Lookman makes a case for it, or when we sign our <26 YO superstar.

I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Lookman to make a case for Walcott’S place any time soon.

We win games when Davies plays.

We lose games when he doesn’t.

Not true, can’t be arsed going back beyond the last two but didn’t pull up any trees against Southampton
and we only won against Leicester once he was off the pitch, yes I know they were down to ten men but how often have we not taken advantage of that situation when he was playing.

P.s
Was arsed after all, last 8 games he played in  we won 4 , including Leicester and Rotherham.

I thought Lookman looked good last game, certainly stronger on the ball than I remember him before he went to Germany. He must be pushing for a start. But, I'd agree, at the moment Walcott is the better option. He is more direct and, could be wrong, faster than Lookman which suits us better.

We have a team enjoying what they are doing, minimal changes should be required.

He will get his chance when Walcott picks up an injury.

Agreed, we need to keep the current team as much as possible. The odd tactical change and injury is all we should be acting on. Saturday's team with possibly Gomes instead of Davies depending on who we are playing. Build confidence and make small adjustments, some exciting and testing games ahead. Siggurdsson is growing into a bigger role and is clearly taking more responsibility as he feels the managerial love.

Walcott is who he has always been. Will spend a third of the season on the physio table and a third out of form, he will tear it up the rest of the time.

It is in our interest to play Lookman when possible this year.

Well if what you say about Walcott is true then Lookman gets to play for two thirds of the season, let’s see.

There will be opportunity yes but depending on tactics, how long we stick with Theo out of form, how well Lookman makes as case (as you say, he’s not pulled up any trees so far) etc.

I think there’s potentially 2000 minutes going, doubt he gets them tho!

Strange that people are going off Walcott a bit, I think hes done really well for us

Lookman isn't better than him either.

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but this stat says it all about how important Sigurdsson is to us. :)
