Considering Gomes has hardly played over the past two seasons, we should not be expecting too much this side of Christmas. But, we live in hope! - Digne did not get much time with Barca and he is proving to be a great signing. Still, Gomes is still a Barca player, just as Vlasic is for Everton. If he plays really well, Barca will want him back. It's a catch-22. We want him to do well, but when he does it's likely "Good-bye, Blues" - or rather "adeos amigo"! (I don't think the contract has a 'buy clause'.)

Donít think it matters that he doesnít have a buy out clause.

If he does well here and we want him weíll sign him. Same with Zouma

Gomes is washed at Barca, will never play for them again. Whether it’s us he goes to afterwards I’m not sure but I’m sure he won’t be going back there.

Sigurdson is certainly versatile, so whatever suits the team in the situation.

Heís playing really well at the moment though, starting high and dropping for the ball, so thereís no reason to change that.

Like BlueDylan said in another thread though, the onus is on the midfielders to get the ball to him quickly, which sometimes we struggle to do. In which case he probably should play deeper. All circumstantial.

Silva may well stick with Davies - no room for Theo!

Is it a requirement for us to move every player after they've had a good game?

I don't know whether Tom Davies 'dropping out', is Tom Davies getting fortunate or not. All the players talk about Silvas' abillity to get the best out of his players. I feel Tom Davies, needs a managerial technician to improve his abilities. I think he could do worse than what he's getting taught right now. I've got high hopes for him under this current management and he might have struck lucky. Sandro was given loads of time to prove himself. It seems he's saying to Tom, "let's see what you've got too"? Silva can't hang around guessing. This is all looking good for the blues. We're going to be throwing contracts, left, right and centre at our little portuguese manager. I say this all the time. I think I could be right for a change. :)

I accept what most say about Sigs being a versatile 10/8, allowing some flexibility. Richarlison provided a lot more movement up front in that last match, so I would keep him there and when he drifts wide, Sigs moves up and centre.

Here's my go:

                                                          Pickford
                Coleman              Mina(/Keane)             Zouma(/Keane)            Digne

                               Davies(/Gomes)                          Gana
                                                        Sigurdsson

                Walcott(/Lookman)             Richarlison                         11)Bernard

...Anyhow, whatever the manager decides, I would say we have some very exciting times ahead!

Where are people getting this Sigurdsson is flexible stuff from when heís only ever played in CM for us in the final 5-10 mins of games when he can push up and be another 10?

Despite the fact we are desperate for a passing midfielder and where so last year too, he still doesnít play there.

Isnít the whole thing around him that you Ďhave to play him in his correct positioní?

Aye, they tried flogging him all summer. He's only on loan with us because they failed to do that.

On the subject of him not playing for Barcelona last year, he made 31 appearances across all competitions. That's not bad!

No way would Davies be first choice over Walcott, Davies will get his chances and continue to develop but at this point in time he is second to Walcott.
