Best win comfortably then, their record without him is woeful

How far off is Coleman off? Seems like he's been out for an age

Bring Keane on after 60, then.  Time to break him in.  We won't have a Cup tie until what, January?

Lookman turns 21 on Saturday. Let's hope he comes of age on the pitch and celebrates in winning style!

Give Gomes 6 minutes at the end of the game so we can all boo him for not scoring a hat trick.

Feel like Gomes is going to be Manny Fernandes all over again.

I have literally no expectations with Gomes. Never seen him play and know nothing about him apart from where hes come from. Interested to see what he does in a midfield devoid of any real quality.

We shouldn't expect much from Gomes at first, it will take him a while to get upto speed in the Prem

How could anyone boo that specimen of a man?

Same.

Obligatory YouTube vids gave me the following impressions:

Tidy player
Good strength on the ball - esp upper body strength (may get penalised in PL for having his arms across other players though)
Keeps teams ticking in the middle without accruing many goals or assists

Overall a bit underwhelming in terms of output, but no doubt that he is a quality player.

Verdict: YouTube vids don't mean shit!

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

Expectations fairly low tbh, due to his bad reviews last year or so.

Would say I am looking forward to having a midfielder who can turn and break lines with a dribble. Should be interesting to see what that does for the team dynamic, probably just means Davies drops out tho so we lose whatever element of build up passing Davies is giving atm.
