If nothing else it’s more competition for places, which can only be good for standards.

If he rediscovers his Valencia form, he'll probably be our best CM.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

How come? He had one move to Barca and underwhelmed there, but he won't be the first and last to do that. He's 25 with his best years to come.

I'd say a fresh start, in a new league, under a Portuguese manager, with a number of other Portuguese speakers on the staff and in the squad is a pretty good opportunity for him to get back to his best. Not expecting anything big straight away, but I'm optimistic he'll be a smart signing over the whole season.

Really hope so pal, he'd be a great signing if he gets anywhere near his best

"Everton midfielder arrested pending further investigation on suspicion of being sex pest"

‘The Portuguese footballer is quoted to have said in one exchange that he was, “not averse to a sniff”.’
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Give Gomes 6 minutes at the end of the game so we can all boo him for not scoring a hat trick.

Why wait? Just boo him on the bench.
