So winning the ball is now a red card offense then?

Just back from the game.

Thought we played well first half, held on a bit in the second.

Quick question - Yerry Mina's yellow card in the first half. Am I right in thinking that he won the ball fairly and it wasn't a foul, never mind a yellow card?

Won the ball, was a great tackle. In the sky studio - red card according to Souness

I was too far away to tell. Was it a rake down the back of the calf/ achilies?

No it was lunge at his ankle, he knew exactly what he was doing as well

I think the Mina foul was a yellow these days. He gave Hazard a fair old crack on his ankle.

Really? Even though he clearly wins the ball first?

Yes. It's no longer a case of if you win the ball it's got to be a fair tackle. It was a foul and every referee would have given a foul.

To me it was a fair and really good tackle, all about opinions though

The games gone, on that basis every single tackle should be a foul and a yellow card then, because the majority of the time some sort of contact is made with an opponent

Came on late on, troubled the corner flag with a shot, and put a couple of passes straight out of play.

The eruption of laughter in the pub after that shot was a joy, even the reds joined in, it was louder than the laughter after the replay of Rudiger throwing himself to the floor after he was viciously assaulted by little tiny Bernard.
