Of course but they will be overseen by Brands I would think.
Walsh had nothing to do with them and before that they were independent, even when Moyes was here.

Would make sense for Brands to be in overall control and probably needs that now but be surprised if hed changed it when he came in.

I’d be surprised if he hadn’t to be honest.

Think he’s been quoted as saying he’ll get involved with the academy once the window ended.

Mountain out of a molehill here, City and the shite have both been caught out doing the same, it will blow over without a massive affect on us

Fair enough. Priorities and all that.

It's only a transfer ban on English registered academy players. We can still purchase foreign kids.

Until March, then they'll need work permits etc etc which what with being youngsters they won't get as they won't have any international caps....

It's like a slave market, from what I can see. As long as they're good enough though? Everton FC will never be the same. "I think we're in good hands, personally". Having said that? :)

Steinbeck's maxim: “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”.

Not being able to sign academy players for two years is a massive blow like.

Hopefully we’ve got rid of the amateurs who put us in this position.

Still got the Silva thing to come as well and I worry about the punishment for that.

It's huge. We can't go out and buy elite - even if we had the money they wouldn't come as we couldn't offer CL football - so one of our routes to having elite players at the club is developing youth talent.

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

I can see the scenario now:

Everton, come May 19, sit in 5th place, Leicester, in 7th are 12 points behind us. Everton finally find out they are deducted 18 points.
Yes, we're being condescending. Yes, that means we're talking down to you.

It's a study visa they'd need isn't it?

Academy and all that...

It's only a ban on signing them if they've been registered elsewhere first. Just need to make sure we're picking them up before anyone else!

The Blue 3/4 of Liverpool

No doubt they will find a way to wangle out a "persistent offenders" tag and for it to reflect badly on our current "Silva/Watford Illegal Poaching Shenannigans", and a Shite led committee will get us 12 points deducted and a 12 million pound fine at the end of the season! ;)
