And yet they still struggle to sell out. Can you imagine the clamour for season tickets here if we were in City's position?

Which is weird, as they were selling out Maine Road in the 2nd division. They have a huge fan base, so what has changed?
Something i genuinely struggle to wrap my head around. I always just assumed the people talking about "selling souls" were chatting nonsense.
They may have been onto something.

often wonder if they regret it

They'll be like all them United & Liverpool fans who "moved" to a new non-league club and then all crept back.
Or maybe not, maybe they have more principled fans - it would certainly explain it all (that seems to be the thing i struggle to comprehend - people being principled en masse)
