This squad is more than capable of a campaign in Europe. We’ve got players like Digne, Bernard, Gomes, Zouma, who are used to European football. Then players like Gana, Richarlison, Pickford who are players who need to be on a European stage.Other than coming back a bit early it shouldn’t have that much of an impact.People forget that under Moyes we dealt with European football just fine.
Think we could go into 7th this weekend. Leicester have Newcastle who haven't lost often away from home this season and Southampton can take something against Wolves at home.
It’s going to end up between us and Wolves in the last game isn’t it.What’s the thinking, would you want Wolves get into Europe ahead of us if it stopped Liverpool winning the league?
It would probably be a good thing to get into europe next season. Our young players have started to improve significantly. We need an experienced team of quality in the epl to get anywhere worthwhile next season. We also need to make sure these up and coming youngsters are kept up to their pace, with improvement of their physical fitness levels. I can't see them getting massive amounts of game time and the europa league is the perfect place, to keep improving at a steady rate. Some of our youngsters will get plenty of time though. DCL, for definite and I think this next season will be a defining moment for Tom Davies. I've noticed improvement in his concentration levels that were spoiling his performances. It's a wait and see thing with the youngsters, but europe could well do us favours next season, as a growing squad
What, people hope not to qualify for the Europa league, so that next season we have a better shot at... qualifying for the Europa league?
