I'm not sure how genuine this is, but it's plausible.  :)

Can someone explain why Aston Villa are positive they can gat a work permit for a striker who has not (as far as I know) played for his country and we struggle to get permits for players? They have signed Wesley (who we were also linked with) I think he will be a good signing by the way, good player!

He's signed subject to a work permit, plus has been playing in Belgium for four seasons already, so very different circumstances.

I don't understand this. I don't know why it's not like this:

"So you want to live in England?"
"Yep."
"Do you have a job in England?"
"Yep."
"Will you pay tax on your wages in England?"
"Yep."
"Here's your work permit Mr Sosa. Welcome to England."

I don't know why it doesn't work like this all over the world. One planet. One people. One love.

The USA has different rules for athletes, entertainers, and the like.  Treating footballers like doctors and nurses (where you need to protect the domestic labour market from having its wages undercut) makes no logical sense.

Wesley will be good for them I think, 22mill for a young number 9 with big potential is low too

The only reason itís different for Europeans is because we are in the EU. When that changes weíll struggle to get permits for all young talent

Unless we relax the rules. Which we will do.

That would be the ideal. If we relaxed the rules somewhat for everyone and then we could compete for South American talent

Let's be honest, it wouldn't be a summer transfer window without a long-winded, precarious Everton transfer saga, would it?
Yes, we're being condescending. Yes, that means we're talking down to you.

Be a shame if we donít get him. Iíd much rather brands and silva were judged on their first choices we get rather than their 4th or 5th choices
