Reports from Argentina that we are after another Argentinian U20 player. Striker, 1m92 in heightband has a Spanish passport

http://www.airedesantafe.com.ar/noticias-de-deportes/everton-de-inglaterra-viene-con-todo-por-adolfo-gaich/

After a good performance at the World Youth Championship in Poland, the San Lorenzo striker aroused the interest of several European clubs. The Premier League team is willing to hire him.

Despite the unexpected (due to how the match was played) elimination in the second round of the World Cup of Poland, several players of the Argentine National Team participated well in the contest because they aroused the interest of several teams that Now they want to have their services. Such is the case of Adolfo Gaich.

The forward of San Lorenzo, who had already had great participation in the South American Games that gave the classification to the Albiceleste, again repeated his good performance in Poland and Everton of England seriously think about executing the exit clause to hire him.

The Toffies would be willing to pay the 15 million dollars it costs to get Gaich out of the Cyclone. This trouble is The representative of Gaich, Pablo Caro, spoke about these rumors and made it clear that the European market interests the player a lot. Withholding Gaich will be very difficult for San Lorenzo, almost impossible. Everything depends on the will of Everton that would also be very close to materialize the transfer of a teammate of the Under-20 Gaich, the central midfielder of River, Santiago Sosa, for figures similar to what they would pay for the striker.because they are not the only team interested in taking the striker. Genoa of Italy also conducted surveys for the "Tank".

Gaich has certainly impressed during the U20 World Cup, despite Argentina crashing out to Mali on penalties. 3 goals and an assist in 4 appearances (7 in 14 total for the U20s). Release clause is $15M USD, not quite £12M at current rates.

I can't find anything about him having dual nationality. Would need a work permit if that's the case, and he's probably in exactly the same circumstance as Santiago Sosa in terms of experience, fee, wage, and other factors that would go into the permit consideration.

Makes sense, bring in two promising players of the same nationality as its going to make setting in to a new country and culture so much easier than if you just bring one over

If, and it’s a big if, it might suggest that financially we are better placed than we realised?

Brands knows that market, I think he's done well enough in the first window that he's earned some slack with such deals.

What lesson? Maybe we believe these are great prospects. Why would we pass up the chance if we do

Or they’re cracking footballers and we’re finally in a position to go take them before our competitors do.
