'Breaking news' on Sky Sports that we are one of a few clubs showing "significant interest" in signing him.

Bullshit surely? Bit if a let down to go from Malcom to Delph!!

I doubt its a case of Malcom or Delph.

Delph will be a squad/utility player.

I think too often when we're seriously linked to a player we convince ourselves that they might be good even though it's really obvious they won't be.

This will be one of those cases. It'll be a poor signing.

I let everyone convince me Ashley Williams and bolasie were good signings.

Not letting that happen again. This would be a horrible piece of business.

A 29 year old whoís played about 30 games in the last two years with a bad knee injury in his career, on what would be massive money as well

Fail to see what he would bring that we donít already have.
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

Swerve with a capital S.

Surely a 29 year old on top dollar is a mistake we have repeated too often in the Moshiri era and not one we will repeat anytime soon.

It wouldn't be a terrible signing.

PROS
- Likely to be a low fee relatively speaking
- Bags of Premier League experience
- Versatile
- Demonstrates good leadership qualities at City (documentary on Amazon)
- Is a good player

CONS
- Will likely demand high wages and a 3 year contract, which is too long (opinion)
- Has hardly played in midfield recently which is where we would likely want use him
- Would demand regular 1st team football
- Little to no resale value

If Mc Carthy, Besic and Schneiderlin go I could see the point, otherwise no

It's a hard one this, he's getting on but he is better than what we have behind Gomes and Gueye. If the price is reasonable I see no reason why we wouldn't be interested, not that inspiring though and id personally rather not, but can see the merits

Wonder if Brands image with Evertonians will survive after this signing?

I'm still trying to convince myself it's a good deal.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Aside Rich (Marco solely) Brands has done a stellar job thus far and if he wants a mercenary in to cover tinkerbells minge (fairy muff) ,most of us won't see a problem I'm quite sure there wouldn't be many asking for his head over one transfer away from young hungry talent.

And I really don't want Delph either.
