Yep. Pleased.

Always said not every signing has to set the pulse racing, sensible buy this and I reckon he will prove valuable.

Just love to see a new player announced at the end of the day, it's my favorite part of the close season.

That's not a bad piece of business. I'm sure the wage may be a little higher but I'd rather have that fir 3 seasons then have him here when he's 34.

Liklihood of him being captain next season or will this go to Seamus?

If its 8 million then that is an absolute steal! 30 million for both Gomes and Delph is absolutely fantastic business.

It feels good to be like the Everton of old, bringing in the right players and getting good value for money.

The future is definitely bright with Brands at helm, long may it continue.
"Sunday Bloody Sunday. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!"- Alan Partridge

Still not convinced we should be doing such a deal for somebody whos played as little football as Delph, but at the price were paying its worth taking the risk.

Doesnt strike me as the type of lad whos here to just pick up the pay cheque, but I worry about how his body will cope if hes needed to play thirty odd games.
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

I'm not waiting to declare him the new Bracewell - with that pointing action - he's the new Neville!

No mor ejokes now. Decent squad player offering experience and cover in multiple positions. He's the new Alan Harper.

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

sam of the south

I hope he stays fit, and I hope we got a good central DM, and then we can play 4-3-3 when Silva sees fit, with Delph to the left of the three
