So it looks like our CB depth is Keane, Mina, Gbamin, Holgate. Sounds worrying to me after failing on Zouma but look around the league:

Watford: Kabasele, Cathcart, Dawson, Prodl
West Ham: Diop, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Reid
Wolves: Bolly, Vallejo, Coady, Bennett
Leicester: Soyuncu, Benkovic, Evans, Morgan

Honestly, Id say Diop is the only one of that lot who I would consider signing, so the league isnt exactly rich with CB talent if.

Even above us youve got Arsenal:

Luiz, Mustafi, Sokratis, Holding, Chambers

Even there the only player Id have would be Sokratis

This isnt to say that Brands is blameless for not buying a CB, more that were as good as the teams around us in that area.

Just gotta hope Mina lives up to the billing and more importantly him and Keane as a partnership.

Still have no idea why we never got a CB in but there you go.

I've quite liked that Tarkowski at Burnley when I've seen him too.

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

Ive always believed that partnerships are more important. You need two decent players that suit your style of play and then they still need time playing together.

Hmmmm looking at that Id say wolves and West Ham have four good centre halves.

We have two. Its a worry, no doubt.

Im hoping Brands is playing a calculated risk instead of just leaving it too late.

Also, theres a lot of faith in Mina so thats a good sign. We paid a lot of money for him, we have to go with him as the main fella.
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

Mina is quick and strong, I'm sure we'll see a mistake or two from him, but I think the pros will outweigh the cons.

If Mina lives up to his early billing, he'd be the best of the lot comfortably.

Massive, commanding in the air and progressive on the deck. Organiser at the back and a threat up top.

Just.... Bit wobbly isn't he so far. Bit on the old wobbly side.

When clubs are demanding 75m for Ake and rumoured 60m for Tarkowski, you know it's not going to be easy to get the experience we were obviously looking for. Hopefully we can ride our luck and then maybe look to bring someone in in January if we are struggling.
Yes, we're being condescending. Yes, that means we're talking down to you.

Wolves?

Yeah.

Certainly have more depth than us in that area.

Yeah.

Certainly have more depth than us in that area.

Think if you put them in most other systems/ teams and individually theyd be useless.

Id take all of them over Holgate though.

Mad how some of our fans think we can make up 15 points on arsenal or united but don't think Watford or West Ham could make up 3 or 4 on us.

When we are blowing these clubs out the water every year and finishing 10-15 points ahead of them I will stop thinking of them as rivals.
