Why would you think that?
Silva says he wants Iwobi to play on the left and cut in

Well he is the one everyone was so mad to replace!!
Iwobi or Zaha were never taking Richarlison's place
The world was coming to an end if we didn't get a winger in............

Squad game though. Think Bernard will be back up to Sigurdsson myself

I hope we have not given up on him, but I do feel he needs to up his productivity. With his skill set he should be producing far more goals and assists, just never seems to come off in the final third most of the time.

Good player, but good to have competition for him that doesn't weaken the right hand side or totally change the shape of the side.

He's on about 120k pw so will be an important player for us, and the way him and Digne link up is massively important, had we plonked Zaha there that would be gone totally, Iwobi can come in and replace that relationship.

Understandable if Silva wants more than a few nice moves or cute flicks from the left flank.

Last season was a bedding in season and whilst I am a fan he didn't give me much confidence that he's going to suddenly start posting the numbers needed from that position.

Zaha would have been perfect. Iwobi has the potential to be. However it's a squad game and he's still a good player. No need to start writing him off yet.

You have to have quality and depth in your squad, and Bernard can play in 2 positions up the top of the pitch, which is hugely valuable. I love his work ethic and his quality on the ball can only improve in his second season.

Still an undoubtedly important part of our squad.

I see us rotating a lot more this season, that front line is really flexible. If there is any dip in form from anybody then a very good replacement can be brought in.

Would he replace Sigurdsson in the middle?
I have to return some videotapes.

did see a random rumour that Bernard had been getting trained there in pre season but he hasn't done that in any of the friendlies. Reckon Iwobi in the middle Bernard left could be the gear.

I'd give him a go through the middle, no question.

As much as I love him. His final ball and finishing is suspect.

I see him and Iwobi getting plenty of minutes between them though.
