Keep the faith brethren. Last season was a taste of things to come.

As much as I love him. His final ball and finishing is suspect.

I see him and Iwobi getting plenty of minutes between them though.

That's all I have heard also, great flair player but will frustrate us massively.

This season we have competition for the number 10 role.

Bernard and Iwobi should be pushing Sigurdsson on for a place if space on the wings is limited. It gives us depth, versatility and may be the key to getting Sigurdsson to contribute more too.

Whilst the things he brings were very valuable to us last season - there was also the times he went missing. Let's see   :)

By all accounts Iwobi was decent at 10 for Nigeria in the AFCON

Brilliant little player although his finishing let him down last season. Healthy competition in every position can only be good for the club.

Itll be interesting to see how Silva sets us up now.

Sigurdsson is the biggest issue we have going forward
He offers little at times, can be totally anonymous even but when he does sommet its usually a goal, in a team that on paper looks like its gonna struggle for goals (DCL wont get many, Bernard doesnt score, nor does Iwobi, gomes or delph and gmbabin) can we take that out of our side?
Simply simply lovely

Yeah Sigurdson has to play, until a new goal threat emerges. Hopefully that is Kean. I think one of Iwobi's challenges, if he is to play on the left, is to get more goals.

Sig is very good off the ball too. Easy to oversee that.

Anyway, the wide players are put under a lot of strain over the season so itís good to have options.

I agree, but his positioning is frustrating; he leaves us very light in the middle when the opposition breaks.

Although as Iíve said before, I think this must be at Silvaís request.

It's also difficult to get a full 90' out of him.  Therefore, we have to have a better option to eat those minutes that isn't "throw Walcott onto the pitch."  And if Iwobi is better, he will surely eat into Bernard's time.  But it's not like Bernard won't ever play or start.

Someone just needs to slide an extra weetabix into his breakfast every morning.

Thought he vastly improved as the season went on, but there's just something not quite top level about him with the end product imo.

Bernard has moments of brilliance, but he's inconsistent with his final ball. His work -rate however is immense. Got a soft spot for the lad.
