DCL would be great with Kean up top, DCL doing the dirty work, whilst Kean gets flick ons and can make runs in behind.

DCL is not a solo striker.
Unsworth has a 100% League record at home
Norwich 3-0 15th May 2016
Watford 3-2 5th Nov 2017
West Ham 4-0 29th Nov 2017
To Be Continued.....

DCL as number 10, then

He’ll be great when the FA bring in the DCL rule which allows us a 12th player to do all the things he can’t. Until then he’s a bit shit
Suggesting we play 2 up top to accommodate him is crazy

so when we played 442 in the past it was to accommodate another player? when we played sharpe and cottee? or Ferguson and Rideout? Cahill and Beckford/Fellaini

Rooney and Dixie Dean?  Beardsley and the Yak? How about Joe-Max-Moore and McBride?
Sharpe and Linekar did well too.

Do teams really play 4 4 2 anymore? Who’s the 2 we are playing in midfield? Why would we play a system that doesn’t really suit to accommodate someone who’s a bit crap?

We pretty much play a version of it anyway, with Sigurdsson as the 2nd striker.

^^ Logic.

but some people refuse to see it.

Surely the debate should be who we should get in to play the second striker rather than which of the 2 non strikers (shite or not involved) we should play

Can we not just fuck DCL and sigurdsson off. Rather than have a debate which is slightly less like a turd

Strikers, plural, meaning they work together, one does the donkey work, whilst the other runs in behind... so DCL can hold the ball up and do what he does best whilst Kaen can run in behind.(presumably doing what he does best)

What he does best isn’t good enough.

He's not any kind of striker at the moment.

Yeah, agreed.

I dislike the system, primarily, and I’m not overly fond of the two players that are playing there, either.

Sigurdsson deployed deeper, great.

DCL as an enthusiastic, athletic substitute forward to bring on against tired legs, great.

As a tandem in a 4-4-2/2-2-6?

No thanks, not for me.

We still need Gilfy’s goals. He’ll score at least another 10 this season. Today he could have scored 2 if he was a bit luckier.
