We really are not very good at this, 9 days ago Marco said he was optimistic that the Delph injury was not too serious and we would know more in a day or two, since then nothing ? Gomes, said on Saturday we would know in a day or two, let’s hope there is at least an update later today, is it thigh, groin, calf , knee ? Echo saying 19hrs ago,  “Latest update on Delph, Gomes, Baines injuries” (didn’t know Baines was injured ?) then just repeat what they said three days ago. Am sure some clubs are better than others at this but the silence over Delph is puzzling to say the least.

They probably don't put it out there so that it keeps our next opponents guessing as well

That could be part of it it would still keep opponents guessing if he at least said that Delph was back in training but as he has said Baines is back in training but doesn’t mention Delph suggests that Delph is more serious than Marco originally thought.

Monday today isn’t it? Would imagine that after an initial observation the player would have been given yesterday as a period of rest and then will be assessed today back at FF.

Gomes has a foot injury. From what I can gather, Silva is hopeful it's not too serious. But it still needs to  be assessed.

An early reducer stamp from Capoue or Doucoure will be on the menu

That will see out August for him, wonder what he'll do for Sept?

Watford were really poor on Saturday. They seemed to lack creativity. It's already been mentioned on here, that they will be up for a kicking contest. If they play like they did Saturday, they won't have any answers, other than to try and kick their way to the points.

They were unfortunate to lose 0-3, though, Brighton were just clinical, unlike us against Palace.

It didn't go their way, no. Brighton were unforgiving in front of goal, but that was half the team, that I watched previous to the FA Cup final. They appear to be suffering from some sort of confidence crisis. That's why I think as others, it could be a bruising affair. If last seasons Watford turn up, then we have a game on our hands.  :)

Nothing like a game against Everton to boost a teams confidence

Which usually works against us
