Only seen Lucas' goal so far, waiting on Sky and/or the Club to upload the goals onto YouTube,  utter filth of a strike that was. How did Delph and Sidibe do on their debuts? And Kean and Iwobi on their first starts?

Sidibe started a little nervous but got better. Delph was really assured in the center of the park. Iwobi all over the place in a good way. Kean had a few good moments too and unlucky not to score a couple himself.

Thought he was great in a non stand out way. Always moving and looking for the ball and you could see the leadership skills and “nasty streak” we’re sorely missing.
Cant agree with that. Looked out of shape and had way too many wrong passes during the game. He will only get better, but what he showed yeasterday was below average in my opinion. Sidibe and Morgan the same. Digne was at times world class  :snigger:

Just been on the Shef Wed forum, they generally delighted with the draw and confident of winning, lot of chat on there about SAG, safety advisory group having imposed some restrictions and they (fans) hoping we will only get 800 tickets ?

I think away clubs are entitled to a 10% allocation for the League Cup. So any reduction in capacity should affect the overall capacity not just the away section. You'd think they'd need special reasons and justify any reduction in away allocations?

..................from what I can see there is a current reduction from 39 to 35,000 ish.  How they arrive at 800 I don't know.
We are special ,we are Everton.

A good performance on the whole dominated most of the game as expected. Digne and Delph had very good games. Sidibe looked nervous and made a few mistakes but it's his first game so can't really judge. Happy to get through and hopefully the goals will kick start our season.

So we should be getting 3,500 tickets then, should be able to make enough noise with that !

Lower league club aside, it's nice to get a win after conceding first away.
