Our former captain Gary Speed would have been 50 today.
So very sad

Didnít know his story. Looked it up and read it tonight, and am now just utterly saddened. Mental health is a major issue often unseen and undiagnosed (see Aaron Lennon), and sometimes that takes a tragic turn.

He sounds like a sound person who just never got the help he needed. Rest In Peace.

Depression truly is a silent killer. It seems that nobody around Gary Speed knew his inner thoughts and feelings.

If that sounds like you and you are down, depressed, canít see a way forward, or just need to vent or get another perspective from someone outside of your own personal life - give me a try.

That we keep losing people to this disease is so very sad.
