Didn't see it yesterday. Just watched MOTD highlights. Quite amazing we didn't win that. Something needs to click pretty soon though. "Against Man City"? Probably not. Silva's back in the spotlight, for all the wrong reasons.

I think we were a little naive yesterday with our play, on reflection we probably didn't deserve to lose, but we also didn't do enough to win either. Sheffield United are set up very well and that's reflected in being unbeaten away in 11 games. It's easy to point fingers and fingers do need pointing, I'm just unsure where?
Silva sets the team up and his tactics were poor, but likewise our transfer activity wasn't really good either and this building for the future bs is biting the here and now in the ass.
It's the typical Everton scenario imo where its not just 1 element, but a culmination of lots of people at the club failing to do what they're paid to do so it's where do you start?

..................Quite amazing we didn't win ? The MOTD highlights must have flattered us then  ,nobody inside Goodison would be surprised we didn't win. As soon as they scored we knew a defeat was on the cards.
In the 2nd half we had 4 or 5 corners in succession but they dealt with every one easily . In attack we were pedestrian and predictable ,just played into their hands.  Shambles of a performance.
We are special ,we are Everton.

I’m the same. There’s no entertainment or joy in it. I couldn’t even be bothered watching a stream. God knows how people hand over their hard earned money every other week for this disappointment. 6 games in and we can write this season off right now. Another year wasted

There's still the cups so I'm not writing the whole season off yet.

I've tried to give it up in the past but never lasted long and always returned to the ground with the same optimism. However I must say that although I still like going I have very little optimism now and even at the match I'm pretty ambivalent about the whole experience. It takes in everything from the bumbling good intentions of Mishiri to the dross on show every home game.

Think we’ve next to no chance in the cups anyway. Every season it becomes more and more likely the top teams will win all the competitions anyway.

On top of us being quite shite the top couple are so far ahead and a couple more are so much richer than us that there’s a fair chance we won’t win anything in any of our life times. I realise that’s the height of negative but that’s just how football is going. The juves, Bayern’s and PSG’s could win 20 leagues in a row.  Teams like ours could play 50 years without ever winning anything or being in danger of going down. Footballs fucked

Yep, agree with all that. If it wasn't for one FA Cup win we'd already be thirty years in to that scenario, and for 20 of them there weren't even any superclubs.

It was so predictable that he would take Bernard off.

No balls, this fella.

What he's doing is childish and bound to ruffle feathers, but he was getting it rubbed in his face the other week minutes after a win... So I'm not massively surprised he feels vindicated tbh.

Doesn't help anyone him rubbing it back but it's a human reaction and he was 'attacked' (really as loosely as that can possibly be used) first.

When people were having a go at him after we won I didn't see any mods stepping in?

The mods aren’t stepping lad fucking hell.

His posts are designed to get a reaction so just leave it be.

He knows he’s acting like a bit of a tit.
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

We looked decent on MOTD. Looked like we made a few chances and battered them for 90 mins.

Everton's like Instagram - you only see the highlights and even they have been touched up for the camera - so when you turn up to meet her in person...

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

The way they were set up gave us plenty of ball anyway, but we were so fucking limp and devoid of pace and ideas we wouldn't have scored if we were still at it..
I still despise Clive Thomas..

Has Coleman been interviewed yet so that he can say we know that yesterday’s performance wasn’t good enough and we must hit back  immediately against Sheffield Wednesday and that the players all agree that the fans deserve more?
