Yeah, I think so too. He was meant to come in to be a winner, leader etc. However he seems to have come in thinking he is just doing us a favour.  Complete opposite of what Barry seemed to bring. Hopefully Delph can turn it around because he can be a very good player.

I think sometimes people characterise a DM as an easier midfield role like you just come in and you sit and screen etc

He's not really been a proper base midfielder in his career, he was always a sort of up and down box to box type.

He covered as a tucked in lb under pep, but that's still different to running a game from base midfield, especially as his legs are clearly going.

Id have Schneiderlin in the team before Delph
